Who we are
WISDOM TECHNOLOGY TRADING QFZ LLC (C.R. No. FZA-1117), Office 62, Ras Bufontas Admin Building, Building 43, Street 517, Zone 49, Ras Bufontas Free Zone, P.O.Box 9293, Doha, Qatar, is the controller of personal data collected through this website. We process personal data in line with Qatar Law No. 13 of 2016 on the Protection of Personal Data Privacy and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data we collect
We collect the data you give us in forms and messages, such as your name, organisation, role, email, phone, country and the content of your request, CV or supplier registration. We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookie data.
Purposes and legal bases
We use your data to answer enquiries and prepare quotations (steps before a contract, or our legitimate interests), to perform contracts, to assess job applications and suppliers (steps before a contract and legitimate interests), to meet legal duties such as export-control, sanctions and tax record-keeping (legal obligation), and to run analytics and marketing (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing
We share data only where needed: with service providers who host our website, email and systems; with manufacturers, freight forwarders and customs brokers to fulfil an order; and with authorities where the law requires. Service providers act under written agreements and our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Because we trade internationally, data may be transferred outside Qatar or the European Economic Area. Where we do this, we apply the safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses or transfers to countries with an adequate level of protection.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for its purpose. Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months, job applications for up to 12 months, and contract, customs and compliance records for the period required by law, normally at least 5 years.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access, correct or erase your data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent and, under the GDPR, receive your data in a portable format. You can also complain to the competent authority in Qatar or to a data protection authority in the EU.
