Space technology
Satellite connectivity, ground-segment equipment and Earth-observation data.
We source space-segment and ground-segment technology for institutions that depend on connectivity or data from orbit. This includes LEO, MEO and GEO satellite terminals, VSAT and flat-panel antennas, gateway and teleport equipment, GNSS receivers and timing systems, and access to Earth-observation imagery and analytics. For research and national programmes we also source CubeSat platforms, subsystems and ground-station equipment for telemetry, tracking and command.
Space hardware is among the most tightly regulated goods we trade. Many items are controlled under ITAR, the EAR or EU dual-use rules, and satellite terminals require landing rights and spectrum authorisation in the country of use. We confirm the regulatory path before quotation, prepare end-user documentation and coordinate with service providers on capacity contracts, coverage and service levels. Lead times for space-qualified components are long, and we plan procurement from the start of a programme.
Benefits
Multi-orbit options
LEO, MEO and GEO services are compared on coverage, latency and cost for each site.
Regulatory path first
Export licensing, landing rights and spectrum authorisation are confirmed before commitment.
Ground segment included
Antennas, modems, gateways and timing equipment are sourced as one package.
Programme-scale planning
Long-lead space components are scheduled from the outset of a mission plan.

Case study
Illustrative scenarioAn oil and gas operator with remote desert sites, Iraq
- Challenges
- Remote sites relied on legacy GEO VSAT links that were too slow for video inspection and cloud-based maintenance systems.
- Relevant services
- We compared multi-orbit options, sourced LEO flat-panel terminals with GEO failover, confirmed landing rights and coordinated capacity contracts with the service providers.
- Outcome
- Field crews gained low-latency connectivity for inspection and maintenance systems, with a fallback path kept in place if either network is unavailable.
Frequently asked questions
Can satellite terminals be used in every country?
No. Each service needs landing rights and spectrum authorisation in the country of use. We confirm availability and licensing before quotation.
Are space components export-controlled?
Many are, under ITAR, the EAR or EU dual-use regulations. We classify items, screen end users and prepare licence applications and end-user certificates where required.
Do you supply Earth-observation data?
Yes. We source archive and newly tasked imagery and analytics from commercial providers, under licence terms suited to government or commercial use.
